COMMUNICATION STRATEGY

The pitch every creative agency dreams of: for the Barcelona Jazz Fusion Festival taking place in the summer of 2024, we were tasked with crafting the communication strategy, brand identity, and complete graphic design of the event. For an agency whose name draws inspiration from Frank Zappa's Grand Wazoo, it was a challenge we couldn't resist.

We opted for a highly graphic, multifaceted brand identity centered around the use of fluorescent colors to convey the sense of modernity and freshness of the music offered. The word "Jazz" has been written in Italic, to communicate the essence of swing, the forward projecting energy of the jazz pulse. The strong graphic design focused on shapes with the asterisk as the protagonist allowed for seamless integration of impactful photographic elements.

CONCEPT &
INSPIRATIONS

The use of various graphic elements and fluorescent hues, all encompassed in a vibrant palette, serves as a metaphor for the festival's key elements. It represents the summery vibe, as well as the variety and unpredictability of Jazz music, embracing improvisation and continuous reinterpretation. With these elements, we proposed a wide range of communication tools including billboards, static and dynamic signage, brochures, social media formats, and much more.

OUR APPROACH TO MUSICAL EVENTS BRAND DESIGN

We believe that dressing an event, particularly one catering to a diverse audience with a focus on youth, is extremely rewarding from a creative standpoint, as the brand identity created becomes an integral part of urban decor.
